The E is very sloppy if using thin strings. I have to recommend to use special short scale strings (the thicker the better) to get a good string tension. But I can say it plays very well, very nice attack and really growling sounds. It was a fun build and I was not sure what I will have to expect from this. It's a modified Tele bridge with 18mm string spacing. The pickup is a Thunderbird pickup from David Barfuss (Germany). Not the highest quality but correct specs for the neck pocket to fit the neck which has same specs like Fender. The body is a relative cheap body I got from second hand. They are very light what is good for the balance (only minimal neck dive). The tuner machine came also from Retrovibe. It's a neck from Retrovibe (UK) which converts a Telecaster guitar into a 4-string short-scale (30,6") bass.
